Name: Emma Grace Frost
Codename: The White Queen

Powers: Frost is an Alpha-level telepath capable of reading and
influencing the minds of others. She has also fairly recently developed the
ability to assume a diamond-hard, nearly indestructible form; when she does
enter this form, however, she cannot access her telepathic abilities, and
is relieved of any empathy she might feel for anyone else- she's left with
just a cruel sense of humor and a cold, hard heart. Not that she's a big
softy anyway.
Personality: Frost is strong-willed and prepared to undergo whatever
difficulties she must in order to get her own way; it was almost immediately
after she realized that she had telepathic abilities that she began using
them to manipulate others for her own purposes. Although she's not without
charm and some amount of compassion, she’s also a snobby, rich bitch; in the
words of John Sublime, “Her rudeness is as infamous as her ruthlessness in
business." Her sophistication is never put on hold, but she is quite sure
that she's better than just about everyone else.
History: Born into a wealthy mercantile family, Emma Frost ascended rapidly
to the top of the corporate ladder on the strength of her intelligence,
drive and personal charm -- as well as her sex appeal and the secret use of
her psionic abilities. A hard-bodied seductress with the brains to back up
her underhanded ambitions, Emma became majority stockholder of a
multibillion-dollar conglomerate. Before she made it to the top, however,
her life was hardly all fun and profit. When Emma's powers first manifested,
she could not control them, and her parents, unable to deal with a girl who
heard voices, put Emma in a mental institution. Eventually, Emma realized
that if she could hear the voices, she might be able to talk back, and took
control of a guard, forcing him to release her. Once she'd escaped she came
to New York where she used her abilities to gain power and wealth in the
business world. She was named chairwoman of the board and chief executive
officer of Frost International at a surprisingly young age.
Emma eventually attracted the attention of the tip-top social elite, earning
an invitation to join the world's wealthiest and most powerful individuals
as a member of the exclusive Hellfire Club. Along with mutant ally Sebastian
Shaw, Emma seized control of the club’s Inner Circle to become its new White
Queen; as such, she has fought against the X-Men in the past. However, she
recently left the Hellfire Club to join the Xavier's side, seeing the team
as the only credible alternative to watching the world’s slide into anti-mutant
hysteria from the sidelines.
